Refereeing in the NCAAs just proves its all fixed...

The Michigan State Spartans unable to rebound? C'mon, they were getting mugged. They're the number one rebounding team this year! Terrible refereeing.

Maryland losing a 20 point lead? Yeah, its easy to lose your tempo when the whistle goes off everytime you dribble the ball or pass it. It was getting pretty rough due to the lack of calls against Duke. That tie-up where the Duke player hit his head would have never happened if they would have kept the game under control.

Not a good show of officiating unless you were running a line.

I think the officiating was terrible in the Duke/Maryland game. They were calling the weakest fouls, but when bodies were flying everywhere under the boards, there was no whistle. It was a very frustrating game to watch...

If you watch anytype of collegiate sport you will find that officials decide the winner on almost every occasion. The exceptions are the Div. 1 versus Div. 2 or 3 games, as those schools don't carry the talent of Div. 1.

I didn't actually watch any of the Maryland-Duke game and only a couple minutes of the Arizona-MState game.
But what I did see of the Ariz.-MS game MS was tossing Ariz. the ball every chance they got, the beginning of the second have was nothing but a MS turnoverfest.

As for Maryland-Duke, it's all in the stats. Almost since MikeK has been there and surely during winning years Duke has never had more fouls than their opponent, never had more turnovers than their opponent, never shot less free throws than their opponent, and during those years their opponents have fouled them 4 to 1.
You can take just those stats mentioned and in every Duke game know who the winner is without seeing anything else, with any other teams in the nation you could not because the officials pretty much make sure it's as even as possible although they still decide the winner in the end it's a more exciting game. But with Duke it seems they just wanna make sure they win even if it looks blatant they don't seem to care.

Like I said it's all in the stats. And wether or not you look at the stats and see them for what they are or wether you just vehemently(sp?)defend your team with total disregard for the stats will tell wether or not you're a fan of a team or a fan of the sport. Although it's been my experience that almost all Dukies that I know are fans of the team and not of the sport.

So MadRat just do what I have done and that is watch alot less of it and you'll feel alot better not seeing the blatant cheating that goes on by the players and officals.
