Reducing air temp inside your PC

I was thinking of getting one of those 120mm Radiators and hooking up a pump to circulate cool water through it and have a 120mm fan blowing cool air from the raditor in to the PC case, Anyone tried this?
 
You are not going to DIRECTLY water cool the CPU then? Seems like a lot of effort just to cool the case, because after all you are cooling the case to get a lower CPU temp right? So you might as well just apply it to the CPU, unless of course your case temp is like 40C.
