I won't have my school office computer forever, plus it's not the most reliable of hosts, so I'm moving our website to GoDaddy hosting. The cheap hosting option there involves a choice of PHP or ASP. I think for me ASP is a thing of the past, I'd to move on to PHP. I've learned a little PHP for a job (really a favor for a friend's business) a year ago and am a good programmer, so I'm not too concerned about the technical issues of changing over. After all, it's just our little family website, nothing too fancy.
So, any suggestions for a free editor? I honestly don't remember what I used for that little PHP job last year, but think it was probably emacs as it was limited in scope.
