door
Did have a real cheap storm door on it but I had already replaced it. Anyway the old porch boards were rotted, warped, and covered with some nice outdoor carpet.

Replaced all the deck boards, front door, the columns, and yanked off the other awning. Nothing spectacular about it but it certainly looks better. I just went with the cheapest front door Home Depot sold. You have to spend $500 to get any nice looking wood doors and I only spent $500 on everything. I spent some extra bucks on the knob which you can't see to spruce up the door a bit. I used some dohickies for hiding the nails. Took a little longer but looks a lot cleaner that way. The back porch looks pretty much the same only I didn't need to replace the door. Its just covered in mud from my dogs and all the rain.

and the crackhouse
They just put a new roof on it and shored up the little porch over the front door, it was pretty saggy before. So anybody want to buy it? Its killing what little property value I have :). Believe it or not but just 6 years ago when I bought my house that place still looked alright. Oh and thats after they removed 6 or so of dumpters full of trash.

It looks like nobody keeps their lawn under control in that neighborhood. Treat it for weeds/dandelions, mow it even, and use an edger to get it looking straight. A clean front yard brings up the whole house.

lol. I bought one last year finally. Just cut the grass for the first time this week and haven't gotten around to weed eating yet.

Dandelions don't bother me but most of the poeple do mow their grass and keep up their yards decent. Like I said though grass just starting growing around here and people haven't gotten around to it yet.

Nice job. It's amazing what a little lumber and a few weekends of time can do.

It does make me wonder though-- who ever thought green outdoor carpet would look good on a porch area? Or blue-and-white striped awnings look great over a window?

Yeah, it is April. Looks like you have good grass, post some pics after the first mow :)

That house across the street has to be rough to look at every day, though. How long has it been vacant/under "renovation"?

Buy the crackhouse and level it for a parking garage. You'll need it for your nice car :)

that's what i was thinking too! can we get more pics of the car, with specs? did you paint the luggage rack yourself?

Thanks Bunch of pics of the miata in there Its a 94 5 speed of coarse and is TURBOCHARGED!!!!! :). The luggage rack has always been black. I'd like to find another red one in junkyard or something and swap for a trunk without a luggage rack. There is a mod list in the directory as well. It doesn't have the lowering springs on it anymore though. I have them but the last owner swapped back in the stock ones because they were beating him to death. Rides rough enough as it is so I'm not sure I want to put them back on either.

Already have a garage so no need to have a crackhouse garage. The dude in the white house across from me wanted to do that back when the bank was asking $3500 for it, yep thats right, but he didn't have the money at the time. These people bought it and cleaned it up a bit and put it back on the market for $14k. Its been setting empty for awhile at that price.

I just bought a weedeater last year as I've already said. I was borrowing one before that and yes I often let things go before I got around to doing so in the old pics. As for the current pics you can only see 3 yards. Ones mine which I said I just mowed the grass for the first time and haven't gotten around to weedeating, the white house across the street where he has been too busy working on the inside of his house to do it yet, and the crack house and well ITS A CRACKHOUSE what do you expect the yard to look like? When I say crack house I"m not doing so just to be cute. They smoked and sold the rock. When you are smoking crack yard care isn't all that important.
