i was downloading redhat 7.1 from the ftp sites and then i read this part of the instructions...
If you downloaded the ISO images and want to install from your CD-ROM drive, you will need to write them to CD-ROMs. Consult the manual provided with your CD-ROM writing software and hardware for instructions on how to accomplish this step. Note: ISO images are not saved to CD-ROMs in the same way as regular data files. After you burn the CD-ROMs, label them CD 1 and CD 2, based on the ISO image filename.

what does this mean? i'm burning them in school and all i see is the option to burn them as data or audios...all other options are disabled...gee...serves me right for not having bouth a cd burner
:)

an iso file must be decoded by the cd software. Nero is my favorite, personally. I think you are stuck, unless you decode the iso on the PC then burn the files from the iso image onto cd.
