Redhat 9 install on USB HD

I am not sure how exactly to go about doing this, since I never had a USB external harddrive. But I believe the HD is sometimes recognized as a SCSI drive, since it needs to use scsi-emulation to work over the USB buss, but don't qoute me on it.

SO when a normal drive uses: /dev/hda as the device filename, the usb drive MAY be /dev/sda.
