RedHat 8 Console Font Problem (Pic inside)

edit :FYI..bugzilla shows a bug report for this issue this morning...I added myself to the mailing list. I'll update everyone if I hear of a solution on this issue.

This is driving me crazy, and I am not familiar enough with console fonts to figure out where the problem is, but if you take a look at the screenshot here you will see that the console font in the first shot is garbbled. The first screeny is my Redhat 8.0 box and the screeny below it is my Redhat 7.3 box. The 7.3 box doesn't appear to have this problem.

These screens were taken from Putty, but the garbbled-ness is also evident at the local console, as well as in consoles that I launch in X. But only on the RH8.0 box.

I can fix the problem in X, by using a different font under the TermSettings. I can't seem to change to fonts in the text consoles though.

Any input as to how I can solve this or where I can find info to solve this would be highly appreciated.

Is the $TERM being set correctly? Im not very familiar with stuff like this, so Im basically guessing based on font problems Ive seen in the past...

changing the term variable via 'setterm -term [terminal name]' doesn't seem to make a difference. I've tried vt100, vt220, and even xterm. Fonts are still messed up.

I'm starting to suspect that this is a problem only with 'man pages' as the rest of my text is formatted correctly.
I replaced my man.config file with a copy from the 7.3 box...still all garbled
Still looking for a solution 🙁
