RedHat 7.3: XDMCP question

Need4Speed

I'd like to set my redhat box to boot to command line but still allow gdm to accept xdmcp connections from other boxes on my LAN. I assume that if i change the runlevel, that xdmcp connections will then fail...what would be the correct way to accomplish this?

TIA

I would imagine you could comment out the line in /etc/inittab that says this:
x:5:respawn:/etc/X11/prefdm -nodaemon

You may have to alt-F# to get to a command prompt after boot tho, never tried it.
