RedHat 7.3 on MSI nForce

I'm trying to install RedHat 7.3 on my computer, which has the nForce chipset. According to Xfree86, the nForce is supported with xfree86 4.2.0, which apparently (I think) is what RedHat 7.3 comes with.

Now the problem is that I go through the installation, choose "GeForce2 MX (generic)" as the video card to use with gnome, installation finish, I reboot into Linux, and when the GUI login screen is suppose come up, I get a complete blank screen.

What confuses me is that I can choose GeForce2 MX as a video card to install, but if I go through all the packages available in anaconda (RedHat installation program), under the Xfree86 package and the Xfree86 hardware support packages, it seems like the X Windows server available is only the xfree86 3.3.6 (the package 'nv' isn't there, which according to Xfree86 is the package you want to install for any nVidia graphics card).

so what's going on here?
And, if I download the xfree86 4.2.0 binaries from their ftp, how do I integrate that into the RedHat installation?

thanks for any help you guys could provide. appreciate it.
