Red Tails (2012) Trailer

One thing has me worried though, that trailer makes it sound like all the other fighter pilots in WWII did a crappy job and the Red Tails saved the day. Maybe it was just the way the trailer was cut, guess we will see.

I have a feeling that that's what the movie will show. That bit about 'staying with the bombers.' Which might be enough to push the movie into the fiction category, really.

Also, The Tuskegee Airmen was a great HBO original movie that Cuba was in as well. Suggest those interested in this take a look at that while waiting for the release.

I'm always down for some WW2 flight combat action. I loved Memphis Belle as a kid, and am still hopeful that someday we get a good 3 hour biopic of Yeager 🙂 He was a total boss, and one hell of an interesting character.

Also not many people know that Jimmy Stewart was one holy hell of a brave man as well, leading bombers deep into Germany during the worst part of the daylight raids and seeing so many of his brothers in arms shot down.

I'm slightly worried about the visual fx in this, hopefully the trailer was cut before post-production was totally finished, some of the aerial footage looks too cg.
