7 more regular season games and I'm sure we are going to clinch the wild card spot. We are two games ahead of Mariners and the way Pedro is pitching and our bullpen has been lately, I'm confident that BoSox will take the last playoff spot.

This is the Red Sox year, so excited about the playoffs this year!!! Everybody has been healthy thus far and Bill Mueller will win the AL batting title. 😀

😀

Fenway will be rocking come October.

UPDATE: Seattle Mariners getting their ass handed by Athletics. 😀

Even better if the Dodgers also make the wild card slot. Too bad they always choke the last minute. 🙁 🙁 🙁

correct me if i'm wrong but if the Yankees win the division and the Red Sox win the wild card, the Rex Sox would be playing the team with the 2nd best record as the Yankees are in the Red Sox's division. Sorry to ruin your fantasy...

You're right. When the Mets & Braves were in the playoffs a few years ago, they couldn't play each other in the first round b/c they were both from the same division.

It'll be interesting if the Red Sox are in the playoffs...maybe I'll try to get some tickets since I haven't been to Fenway yet.

i went to both Sox ALDS playoff games in 98.Youll have a blast just hanging around on landsdowne street if you cant get tix.
I know they sold out pretty quick yesterday, but i am sure there will be scalpers everywhere as usual 🙂

I guess it'll make it more appealing when Yankees and Red Sox meet in the second round.

Athletics are a well-known first round chokers so Red Sox won't have too much on hand when they face them.

Too bad the Sox will blow it in the first round.

redemption for 99!

If I remember correctly didn't Pedro pwn Roger Clemens in Fenway Park? Didn't Clemens get hammered by BoSox offense?

I like how you list the Yankees' advantage as 'Edge' and the Red Sox advantages as 'no brainer' or 'by a mile' and so on. 🙂

lol.
sooner or later the Sox are going to win it.
they have as good a shot as any team in the majors this year.
so who knows?

I'd just like to add that the Twins have now won 9 games in a row and are playing better than anyone in the Majors. That is all.

its looking like you vs the yankees in the 1st round.

Hopefully we will. I like how most people basically take the Twins for granted though. I guess that's what you get when you play in the same division as the Tigers.
