Hate to break this to you, but 2-1, 17-1 or 117-1 all count as just a single win and the sox are still in 4th place.

Have a nice day.

17-1 is akin to being skewered with a six foot dick.
Minimize it if you want, that's a top notch beatin they're taking.

Spoken like a person who knows the feeling.

Whatever you do on a Saturday night when you're lonely is your own business, but one win is one win and I defy you to show me the math that proves otherwise. Unless there's some sort of supersecret tie-breaker in baseball based on runs scored or win differential, all those runs are just wasted. It counts the same as any other win, no more and no less.

You're now free to return to the six foot dicks you like so much.

Nope, solo 2nd. But hey, why let reality get in the way of your little fantasies.

Hey, I'm not going to take away from the Yanks, they're a good team. Whenever you throw two really good teams against each other you get a good game, and one of em has to win and one has to lose. I accept that fact, I got no problem with my Sox losing if it's to a good team. Losing to Toronto almost made me hang myself, but losing to the Yanks doesn't.

But losing by 16 points is just sad. If it was 3-1 or even 5-1 I wouldn't have commented, 17-1 is like closing your eyes and running headlong into a brick wall before going up to bat.

Even if they add the Rocket like the quick-fix junkies they are, their rotation is old as dirt and will NOT get them to the ALCS this year. It's already starting to show against GOOD teams how bad they can be, walking too many, giving up home runs, needing defense to bail them out time after time.

Ha..didn't notice that!! Once in awhile you'll hear the phrase ,"points on the board" but its usually the older broadcasters who say that.

A telling sign about how the Red Sox are going to do the rest of the season will be how Wells pitches tomorrow. If he continues to stink up the field then the Sox are in for a long season. If he can get it together then they'll be in the hunt till the end.

BTW, is there a Catcher in the Bigs who is as good as Veritek is right now? That guy's Money!
