Red Sox Parade

Probably not..I'm sure in some south american country or europe, some soccer parade probably beat it out. For the U.S. though, maybe.

A) Nobody fell off the duck boat, that was just an idiotic college kid who decided to swim in the Charles River.

B) Red Dawn, are you now jumping on the Sox bandwagon? Judging by your "Massachusetts, Home Of Winners!" sig, it looks like you are. That's ok, there's plenty of room, hop aboard with all the new October, 2004 members of Red Sox nation. (Does this also mean you're no longer calling them "Red Sux"?

Just caught up in all the excitement at the moment living in the middle of Boston. I'm still an A's fan first and foremost.

Noooo, thought you've finally seen the light. Damn.

We left CT at 6am, got up to the Prudential Center exit at 7:15, was the quickest ride ever into Boston. Staked out a spot right across from the Boston University Conservatory, and waited for the parade. Once it passed us, took the T over to North Station, ate over at L'Osteria on Salem St, off of Hanover, went to get desert at Maria's Bakery, and took a walk over to Quincy Market. I normally hate the city, but the North End of Boston is one place where I could very happily live. All in all, it was a great day.

Edit: Forgot to mention they did away with the toll's for inbound traffic on the Pike from 6:00am to 10:00am, which made the ride a lot smoother. They should do this every day, there'd be no traffic!!
 
Still, having 3 million in a city with a metropolitan population of 6 million is a lot more impressive then 3.5 million from a city with a metropolitan population of 20 million.
