It is for mediocre size and quality. But then this area seems a bit saturated with places you can get a better burger for the same or less

Mediocre size? What sort of bloated fat ass are you? Mine is usually big enough and loaded with enough stuff that I have to squish it down to eat it properly... on top of that you get unlimited fries. How somebody could possibly complain about the quantity of food at Red Robin is stunning.

red robin is not fine dining. it is a bar that happens to serve food. i can go to any number of local places and get a really good burger for under 10 bucks that will rival any of these chain places.

also, 11 bucks for a burger and fries, then add the 1.49 for the sweet tater variety, then a drink for 2.50 is a far cry from a wendys meal for 9 bucks.

and $15 for a meal at a sit down restaurant is far from "expensive".

Don't like Red Robin? Shut the fuck up and don't go. No one gives a shit about your local burger joint that 90% of the forum does not have access to.

I, for one, will go to my local RR this weekend and partake in basket upon basket of sweet potato fries.

I don't really like RR but $10 is not expensive for a sit down restaurant/meal. Hell the stupid food court is about $10+ for a meal.

tell me where you can get a burger for significantly cheaper than $10 that is a sit down restaurant with waiters serving you.

Who said significantly? I said cheaper AND better quality. There is a local place that uses fresh butchered meat patties slightly larger than RR with 8 different burger options for under $9 and will actually cook medium rare. It's sit down with waiters

There is another place next to a farmer's market type area that serves two different burger and better tasting options for under $8.50 for sit down and wait staff.

A bit farther away is the Red Coat Tavern which is very well known and regarded which has burgers for $7 sit down\wait staff

Hell I can get the 'grass fed\humanely treated' type beef for $10 at a sit down\waiter restaurant around here

i bet many of the people saying this is "expensive" have never eaten at a fine dining restaurant. and no, fine dining does not mean chilli's or olive garden.

Just because we have cheaper options for the same quality of food does NOT mean that we have never eaten at a fine dining restaurant - it just means that - AROUND HERE - its over priced FOR WHAT YOU GET terms of the burger patty itself.

Some people (see the poster below) seem to think that unlimited fries and a lot of toppings offsets a smaller patty

Mediocre size? What sort of bloated fat ass are you? Mine is usually big enough and loaded with enough stuff that I have to squish it down to eat it properly... on top of that you get unlimited fries. How somebody could possibly complain about the quantity of food at Red Robin is stunning.

Hey dipshit - some of us like to split the food into meal and leftovers. I fail to see how me noting that RR serves only mediocre burger sizes for the area is complaining let alone makes me a fat ass. I am completely capable of understanding that not every area is like that but I have plenty of places that serve just as much food (unless I want to sit there for 6 hours asking for basket after basket containing 6 fries) for less money

Its not like I avoid RR completely. I still go for my free birthday burger and love their seasoning.

And to hell with your grass-fed beef! The more suffering that slab of meat endured, the tastier it is!

There were two RR's within easy driving distance (<20 miles) when we were in CA. (NO, NOT Canada!) Both were decent.
BUT, the local RR here sucks. Almost everyone we know has stopped going because of shitty service and lowering food quality.
Their parking lot seems to be less full most days.
