I just bought a red aluminum case, so i want to get a red mobo. ( i needed a new one anyway cause i have the 8IDX (sdram , ick))

what is the best board (preferably i845g) w/ ddr 2700 that is red?

lmk
thanks

All of MSIs boards are red so there's plenty of options, but like Athlon4All said MSIs mobos aren't the best oc'ers

You can oc fine with the MSI boards, they have all the necessary options. They just aren't as good oc'ers as, say, Asus for example.
As you've got a 1.6A I can understand you want to oc, got my new 1.6A to 2608 with stock cooling, 1Ghz out of the box and with very high case temps to boot! This is on an Asus P4B533-E though and that aren't red so that's out of the question.

Other red boards, hmm, I think Soltek makes some, here's a review of one based on the SIS645 chipset. They also make a snazzy silver-colored I845E too, here's a review, they had it to 160fsb so it can oc fine. That would looke schweet in a red case too.

anyone used that silver board? it looks pretty sweet. upon reading the info about it, it said only 4 of the 6 usb's can be used. is that fixable if i simply buy another header cable? or will it ONLY let you use four?

any personan experience w/ that company?

thanks
