Anyone know what upgrades happen to the guns or at what levels? And how does honor play into this?

Gun upgrades apply to specific levels to each individual gun. Honor level doesn't matter.

25 is the first upgrade, 50 is 2nd and last. For rifles (except the sniper) the first upgrade is the bayonet. See here for more info: http://heroesofstalingrad.wikia.com/wiki/Category:Weapons

Honor plays into requirements for class veteran certification. For instance, to be eligible for the Rank 5 for any given class, you need to have enough xp for this level PLUS have an overall honor level of 80. Each requires it's own XP, but the honor rank is global.
