Red light on mother board... computer not starting up

On my Abit NF7-S the red light meant that the Mobo had power and don't be a fool and try to mess around with things while the power cord is still attached :D

could be power supply, I had the same problem once, had power light on board but comp would not boot, turned out to be power supply was bad.

this happened to an abit bg7 of mine. it happened after I plugged in a sketchy scanner to an LPT1 port. was a fried mobo.
