I have the basic config of a vostro 1400
T5270
2 X 5200 677
wifi n dell
bluetooth
webcam
120g hd
vista home

My mission

I hope to install red hat or centos and a have a few MS os up and not including vista
working either multi boot or virtulization (both options) I would like to upgrade this as there might be both 64 bit linix and 32 MS os's running under virtulization either red hat current version native the rest as guest, or xp host the rest as guest. I am told that xen does not support any intel under t7000 CPU series in laptops, however sun recently acquisition of virtualbox.org that does.

I would only upgrade to t7000 series cpu when it is dirt cheap,

the Help I need

I have never installed Red Hat RHEL curent verssion on Dell Vostro 1400 if you know of documented success stories please kindly provide a link. thank you

( I have seen about fedora and audio solution, (I am not sure about wifi N drivers for rhel with dell notebooks) links to such url will be great, so I know from the start, all the get around's.

How do you plan on getting ahold of RHEL installation CDs? Are you going to pay for them? Redhat only distributes the source code (no binaries) for free. As such, unless you want to pay, I would suggest going with CentOS.
