I have posted this in Networking, but I think this can belong to OS too:

guys, I am having Earthlink DSL service, and in windows I am using Winpoet to connect to DSL. I just set up my linux box, running Red HAt 6.2. Does anyone know how I can connect to DSL? I think I have to use something like PPPOE? I trie dto search for stuff on redhat.com and linuxnewbie.com but with no success. Can someone tell me the details and step, or provide me with a link on how to achieve that? All helps will be appreciated. Thank you so much.

This is writen by some guy at Nortel Networks. Enjoy. It's a kernel patching client. A bit more difficult to use but the instructions are top notch. At least i didn't have any difficulties with it.

What i like about this client is that it's supposed to use the least CPU time. Because it does it's stuff in kernel space.

Damaged, does that mean that web page is written by you? Either way it is a really good one, and very helpful. Bring a newbie who knew nothing to set up a linux for DSL! :)

No, I didn't write. I'm capable of such things, but don't have the time right now.

I'm thanking you for taking the time to read it and try it because too many times people want things completely spoon fed to them. If that's what someone wants, then I don't think that Linux is for them. That's why Windows is there.

That's all I was saying. :)

oic... I have to agree with you. I think (just think, coz' Linux is still new to me) Linux is very powerful, and it just depends on how how much time you willing to spend on it. Well, it's fun to me. Rather spent a day on this than 3 hrs on my hw, ha!

Thanks :)
