Red Hat 9 problem

I installed Red Hat 9 on my machine, and (after many problems getting the discs to work, errors installing, etc) I finally got it up and running. When I go to the KDE kicker, and go to System Tools, and then to File Manager, Super user mode, it asks me for my password like it should. Then, the file manager flickers on, and flickers out again. It flashes on then off! How do I get it working? Thanks for any help.

Run it from a command line and see if there are any errors coming up.

I ran it, and I get this error:

[root@localhost root]# konqueror
mcop warning: user defined signal handler found for SIG_PIPE, overriding
/tmp/mcop-thanatopsizer is not owned by user

I changed the permissions of that dir to owned by everyone and anyone, and it still gives me that error. Anyone encounter this before?

Edit: Problem solved! I deleted that folder, and konqueror remade it. Thanks for the help guys.
