Why is it considered "inferior" to 6.2?

it's buggy.

I heard that it wasn't even finished when they released it. (that's what I HEARD)

I have had problems with it.

I have not heard that it was inferior,
It think just the opposite.
Since I have started using 7, I have found a couple of small glitches, but nothing huge. I think its great, I have taxed the crap out of it lately.

Were there some problems w/ binaries created in RH7 machines running on other distros?

I have not really seen problems. However, I can say this; since upgrading to RadHat 7, I have had to change the mobo because RH was not compatible with it. So I went out and bought a RH certified mobo and everything is working fine.
