I *ahem* acquired Red Faction the other day. Played it for a few hours. I got to the part where I kill Colonel Masoko or whatever her name is, and then disarmed a bomb. Next thing I know, the credits are scrolling by. Did I beat the game? It was sorta disappointing. Is this some sort of shareware or demo of soem sort? It couldnt have taken me more than 4 or 5 hours to "beat" it. Also, there was no intro or ending cinematic... Did I get an anemic version or is it really like this?

Its not a demo version, the game is just short and there is no ending. Many game companies don't care about making good endings. They just want to finish the game and ship it.

That is completely false and if you think that I'd suspect that you've got the warezed version like the other guy. The proper game is much longer than 4-5 hours plus it has beginning, end and in-game cinematics. If you downloaded the warez version who knows how it's been hacked apart.

Also if it only took you one go to disarm the bomb you're either extremely lucky or that's been hacked to pieces too.

It's your fault for downloading warez and pirating software.

Yeah, I usually download games that I think look promising before I buy them, as demos are usually too short to give me a good idea of how the game plays. So now I wont be disappointed when I buy the game. Ok thanx :)
