I suck i keep dying lol. Anyone got any tips to avoid death? Getting a truck and smashing it through important EDF structures seems to be a good tactic but i rarely ever come out of that alive, i get swarmed by EDF troops or marauders that seem to show up quite often when i attack an EDF base.

Im currently in the badlands, ive liberated parker and dust, i managed to take down the badlands outpost by getting up on the hill and randomly throwing explosive things down at it until it collapsed, i didnt escape this encounter either. Should i just run away more? Im used to trying to take on armys by myself but im not too good at it here.

Also two unrelated questions:

1. Can i store vehicles?

2. Can i repair vehicles?

Theres a really nice EDF tank in the garage, its small manuverable and has an energy weapon, i would like to store this for future use :)

I've died a fair number of times myself. The AI is really agressive in this game and as a result the game is more challenging that any other open world game I've played recently. I've gotten to where I really rely on the rocket launcher to try and take out buildings from a distance. I'm in about the same place you are and just picked up that nano rifle. I haven't really had a chance to try it out anything big yet, just a couple of crates around the safe house. I think I'm going to see if I can take out that big bridge in the Badlands with it tonight.

I've also been using vehicles to recover quite a bit. If I start to get overwhelmed I'll jump in a vehicle to recover. While I'm in the vehicle I'll ram things with it or shoot if it has a weapon. Then once the vehicle is about to blow I jump back out and continue the fight on foot again. Fortunately the AI normally brings in plenty of EDF vehicles to steal. If the closest one is occupied just shoot the gunner and the driver will get out and you should be able to hop in.

Not sure about storing vehicles, I would like to know that too. I noticed that vehicles you park at a safe house hang around for a while, but I haven't been able to directly repair one. I did once save the game while I was at the safe house with an EDF vehicle and then when I loaded the game later the vehicle was still there and it was repaired.

I've incorporated the same tactic in regards to smashing the vehicle into bases. It still works well and I'm almost done with the Badlands. Yes, I've died a fair amount too (with little frustration because it just doesnt feel cheap to me).

Some suggestions/notes/tips:

- When grabbing a vehicle, be sure to grab the trucks (or larger vehicles) as they tend to be the most durible.
- Purchased the armor upgrade(s) ASAP.
- I found one base that had a tank in it. Lots of armor + a cannon = total devistation. Man, it was fun--but are there more that I havent found?
- User cover as much as possible. This is certainly a pop and drop shooter--if you go in guns blazing you're going to die often.
- If you're health is low and an enemy vehicle is nearby then shoot the gunner and the driver will always exit it, then commandeer it for your use.
- Raise moral before attacking the more difficult enemy bases so more backup shows up when you need it.

Oh, and I hear later on we get a jetpack of some sort--how awesome does that sound?

Good tips guys, ive been playing a bit more in the meantime and since i got armor upgrade 2 im dying a whole lot less. Also im doing things more guerilla like... no more run n gun.

I just got the jetpack :) Im in Eos right now, i tried hovering above the swarms on EDF troops and shooting them from above but it seems they have the ability to aim upwards, i got shot to pieces. However the jetpack is gonna be extremely useful in sneak attacks, no more sprinting at the side of hills to look for a place i can run up, ill just fly up.

I love this game. I've found that if you play it like a Guerilla/terrorist you will have more success and I think that is the way it is meant to be played. If you stick around blowing shit up for fun, you will die. If you plan your entry, execute, and egress, you will have better luck. Sometimes though I just can't help myself. I gotta stick around and blow shit up.

Multiplayer is so fun. Kind of reminds me of Tribes.
