The first hour of RDR2 is slow. After that you can go HAM and not even play the main story missions for a good long time if you want. It is a lot like Witcher 3; in that it can be hard to get going. But once you do it's hard to stop playing. Characters, dialogue, story, and gameplay are all fantastic. Beautiful game too.
I never pay full price for games. And I have played through RDR at least 4 times over the years. None of that stop me this time.

I was conflicted at first about it not being a remaster, but I have concluded they made the right decision. It plays great on a potato or handheld at high resolutions. Besides, there will undoubtedly be high res texture packs and much better character skins later on. I played a couple hours last night, and the higher res and fps, along with m&kybd support makes it worth every penny to me. Playing Undead Nightmare tonight. It'll be the 3rd or 4th time I've done that on Halloween. Turning into a tradition.
