Finally! I thought we'd never see this game on PC.

Yeah, PC is having a bit of a Silver Age here with all of the console exclusives no one ever thought we'd get showing up all of a sudden.

I've been pretty cold on RDR2 cause while I love the setting everything I've seen and heard about the game is that it is plodding and slow, and.my 40yo family having ass aint got time for that.

RDR however is generally understood to be a more compact experience.

The first hour of RDR2 is slow. After that you can go HAM and not even play the main story missions for a good long time if you want. It is a lot like Witcher 3; in that it can be hard to get going. But once you do it's hard to stop playing. Characters, dialogue, story, and gameplay are all fantastic. Beautiful game too.

I never pay full price for games. And I have played through RDR at least 4 times over the years. None of that stop me this time. :D I was conflicted at first about it not being a remaster, but I have concluded they made the right decision. It plays great on a potato or handheld at high resolutions. Besides, there will undoubtedly be high res texture packs and much better character skins later on. I played a couple hours last night, and the higher res and fps, along with m&kybd support makes it worth every penny to me. Playing Undead Nightmare tonight. It'll be the 3rd or 4th time I've done that on Halloween. Turning into a tradition.

I'll wait till this *checks notes* 14 year old game is more like $5 or $10 and then pick it up.

Then I'll give RDR2 a shot when its a similar price. If it's even half as good as Witcher 3 then it will be an incredible game.

LOLZ yeah I am a sucker for RDR. My son and I had many great times with it. I don't like the MP much, only did that for him. I liked watching him play though. He is the embodiment of chaotic evil in games. Where as I am lawful good.

And for my taste, RDR2 stands shoulder to shoulder with W3; both are must plays. RDR I'd rate higher because it was first by a country mile sorry not sorry. It has a special place in my personal gaming history.

3 more games they could milk me on, are Gears of War 2-3-judgment PC ports. Preferably remasters with UE5. I know many don't like judgement, but that's because they are weak and their bloodlines are failing. :p

$50 is ridiculous. I'd like to see this eventually go sub $20 at some point. Don't think it will since it's Rockstar. Best hope is for a sale at $20. Maybe even $25.

Worth every penny to me already. I am 20 hrs in or so and having the best time. The draw distance and fps alone have improved the OG experience dramatically. It'd been a while since I played. I had tried the Xenia emulation but it was janky. Music score is the best; spaghetti western epic.

I never got a chance to finish RDR1 when it came out. I may pick this up but I may just wait for a sale or try to find a cheap key for it. I don't remember how much of the open world was accessible with stuff to do. I still have not finished RDR2 either.

I do think the price is kind of steep for a port but the fact that its a good port says something and may just warrant the price. They never said it would be a remake.
