Well, I choose to single out Red Dawn because he is perhaps the most annoying of the "Bush is too stupid to be President" people. I'm just curious Red Dawn, do you have a bachelor?s degree from Yale University and an MBA from Harvard Business School? Do you speak fluently in 2 languages? Have you held the highest elective office in any state for 6 years? Did you serve as a managing general partner for a major league baseball team (Texas Rangers)? I'm just curious, because you seem to think George W Bush is too stupid to be President, and if someone with that type of background is too stupid, then I can only conclude that if YOUR background is not 1/10th as good as his is, you are too stupid to post here at Anandtech. Apparently being intelligent means you should lie in every other word you say.

This idea that George W Bush is stupid just blows my mind. Nobody who can go to Harvard and Yale and not flunk out (Like Gore did from what I understand, or at least he did not complete a higher degree) is not a person who is "stupid" or "Can't handle numbers" or "fumbles" his way through life. He is a main of great integrity (Well, anyone who hasn't put a knife in their mother's back yet has more integrity than Clinton or Gore, so maybe thats a bad example..).. I think, like his father, he will treat the Office of the President of the United States with the highest respect and honor, and will bring our country back to where it needs to be.

I am also curious as to how people can turn his LACK of political experience into a negative, when 90% of the time people bitch about how they are sick of the "Washington Establishment".. Well, what is it, do you want someone like Gore who is a career politician, or do you want someone who is not? You can't have it both ways. Either way Red, people like you are the reason why Gore will get re-elected, and will be doomed to another 4 years of complete disregard for any morals or values in this country. Red, you are just pissed because the majority of Republicans disagreed with you when it came to choosing their candidate. The people choose NOT to elect McCain to that position. And now, since you can't come up with any substantive argument why Bush should be President, you resort to personal attacks on his intelligence.. which is clearly way above anything you could ever accomplish.

(Steps off soapbox)... This will really stir things up for sure..

Singling out AnandTech members by name for the express purpose
of ridiculing or insulting them is not only in poor taste, it is,
as has been announced repeatedly, grounds for banning.

As you are a long-time, experienced member of this community,
you should know better. We are warning you rather than banning you,
but remember in the future that an honest criticism of someone's
opinion is one thing, but a personal attack is quite another.

Crimson -
Red is annoying to be sure. He makes some valid points. Our biggest problem is not GW vs. "the man who invented the dog" - but the two-party system.

DIRECT POPULAR VOTE!

The electoral college system was put into place at a time when much of the populus couldn't even read. It was supposed to be representative. Now, it is restrictive, and smacks of socialism. My 2cents.

Red is OK, - I don't agree with him - but he's ok.

Bush needs to think of what he says before he says it, thats all. I could give a fsck what school George W. went to - he talks like he just snorted three lines.

Even I could do that if my dad was a former CIA director, a former Vice President, and the Former President of USA. It's call "networking" (and I am not talking about computers). I would say GW's spanish fluent though.

Do you know why all the Ivy League College applications ask who your parents are? Take a guess. It's affirmative action for our good ol boys.

sick of the "Washington Establishment".

And you believe GW is OUTSIDE of the "washington establishment" ? HAHA

I have every right to post that topic.. Besides being here just as long as Red (Not nearly as many posts, but what does that mean?).. Besides, the topic is supposed to be sarcastic, a take on how Red seems to think GWB is too stupid..

This is inappropriate. If you disagree with Red's political views, then by all means feel free to counter them in the threads pertaining to that subject. You start a thread attacking Red's intelligence and try to justify it by criticizing his political views? WTF? If you disagree, then at least keep it at that level. I see no point in making this a personal issue.
