Red Baron Pizzas = JUNK?

WTF, I was just going to cook a pizza, and when I pull the pizza out of the box, the thing breaks in half. 2 separate halves of pizza now... WTF is this...

I know they taste good, but has anyone else ever had something like this happen???

Hey, it'll save you the time spent cutting it after cooking 🙂

I stick to cheap party pizzas or delivery (never digorno (SP!))

Red Baron = nasty!!!:disgust:

For $5 you can get a 2 pack of Mama Rosa pizza which is great! The trick is to cook it directly on the oven rack, not on a cookie sheet. And for $2.50 a pizza, it's a deal that can't be beat! 😀

I do not like Red Baron pies. They're expensive, with sauce and toppings that are far too bland, and seem pretty average in quality.

I like Cub Foods Fresh Rise (store brand) for value, and Digiorno (sp) for quality.

I also like Jack's for cheapness (especially on sale), and Tombstone for the same reason if they're on sale.

Party Pizzas? Please! If they took that crust and put some quality ingredients on, they'd have something, but as they are, they're pretty nasty. They don't even use cheese. It's a cheese substitute.

EDIT:

Oh, and anyone who heats a lot of frozen pizza should have a pizza stone. Also, you should turn the pizza 180 degrees during cooking for evenness.

nope, hasn't happened. have seen a crack in the bottom of the pizza before, so now i'm careful

This is what you're complaining about? Yeesh.

Freschetta is gross. I can't stand their sauce.

Red Baron Stuffed Pizza Slices are really good. The 5 cheese and tomato ones are AWESOME.

I got kinda burned out on frozen pizzas in college and haven't eaten them near as much since then. However, even when I loved them I always thought Red Baron was one of the crappier tasting brands. Digorno (sp?) LOOKS like it'll be good, but every place I've ever had it it's also tasted like crap - NOBODY seems to have an oven that can cook them properly if you follow their directions. I guess my favorite was probably the old Pappalo's since they would at least cook fairly easy for a deep-dish style pizza. I don't know if they stopped making those or if just every grocery store around here has stopped carrying them. Haven't seen them in years.

The only one I eat much these days is the Stouffer's French Bread pizzas. Those things are pretty good and with that micro-bake cooking style you can have the oven taste in 5 minutes.

i once had this pizza that was supposedly "gourmet" and came in this shrink-wrapped wrapper, and let me tell you, it was fuggin HORRIBLE.

btw, best pizza evar = jacks

Bad memories with Red Barron. Roommate's friend cooks one.... decides to put pizza ON the box in the oven.
15-20 min later...yeaaaaahhhh

No way, Red Baron Pizza rules, the three cheese pizza is sooo good, u must have done something wrong man

Freschetta is great stuff but a bit too expensive ($5.99)

If you're really slumming check out Jeno's, can be had for like 99cents
