I just installed RA 2 again, after 2 years of not playing. On this comp i've noticed that when the buildings blow up, or the super weapons engages the GAME seems to slow down. Is that because of my computer's settings or is it suppose to do that as in "SLO mo"..

when too many effects and units are on screen the game slows down. I set all settings to 1024x768 high qualioty on my crappy rig(see sig) and it slows down during the game when buildings get to higher numbers.

patch it. then make sure that games dont run forever(i had a easy skirmish game where i just kep on building and building sandbox style on ym gaming rig and it slowed down beyond belief.)

The game in single player dosent want to drop frames but instead makes it just run slower.

BTW, RA2 was thre last of the Calssic Westwood games i believe. Westwood was stil lalive and kicking until Renegade nailed it's coffin.

engineering!

that was an awesome game. Especially that death march intro music and the horrible live action segments.

i was godlike in RA1 on the aftermath ladders.... i hated nurple maps though.

i still play ra1 on my xp machine.

just right click on the cd drive icon in my computer, goto explore. then right clickon setup.exe then properties and check the box abvoe "windows 95" or whatever and you're golden from there.

if westwood online still worked i'd love to wreck shop on a fool that would play me.

3 mad tanks plus a-bomb in a base can't touch anything.

I used to love RA1. I even had a site for all things RA called The Red Alert Outpost and even released several mods to the game. Ah memories. I miss that site. I ended up having to pull the plug one weekend because my ISP had some terrible accounting and e-mailed me saying that had they kept track of my traffic I'd have owed around $17,000! I had the site up for a whole year, massive traffic and all from some how getting listed on Yahoo.

I remember dialing my buddy across the street to play RA1 via modem. I miss those days. If westwood online was still up I'd challenge ya

I think I own all of the CnC series except Sole Survior. I love em all equally, they all have their own quirks that make them good
