recycling school papers

if you had a paper due on a topic that you already wrote one on, but for a different class, would you just re-submit the old paper? do you think its right?

i have no real problem with it, i just feel a little shady doing it.

Most professors will say that's a big no-no, I think.

One of mine even tried to convince a class that is was plagiarism to resubmit your own paper for a different class. 😕

If you wrote it, then I would recommend at least proofing it and making it better. I have never read a college paper that couldn't be improved. Besides, just b/c one prof gave you an A (i assume you would only consider recylcing an A paper) doesn't mean that another prof will.

actually it was a low b, but:

1) this prof grades easier
2) it's the summer
3) i'm lazy

I had a friend who did this here at U of I who ended up having the 1st submission changed from an A- to an F and the second submission received an F. The professor of the second submission tried to have him thrown out. All I can say is be careful. You best bet is to make sure that the papers aren't submitted in the same dept. I.E. Eng 101 and Eng 150...
