recycling laptop monitor

hello guys i need your suggestion and help. we got this broken laptop (hp nx9005) with a tft xga display and i want to dismantle the laptop and recycle it by using it as a desktop monitor.. do you think it will work?

thank you in advance...

Unless you're designing a graphics card with a suitable output (either LVDS or direct-parallel), and write your own video BIOS configuration to support the panel you have, AND build the electrickery around the panel, ...

No.

Even people who know how to do all that wouldn't ever do that for one single unit. If you brought 1000 of those broken laptops, it'd be worth considering.

thats sad to hear peter. well to bad for me i need to send this junk away.. i tought it will be just as simple like putting to wires together.. thanks peter for the info..

Like I said, both hardware and software of how such a screen is being handled are completely different to what your normal desktop graphics card can do.
