Recycling and conservation

I wouldn't consider myself a hardcore tree hugger, but I like to conserve whenever possible and practical. I was just wondering what all you guys do to reuse and conserve.

For example, to the students out there, what do you do with the massive piles of paper you accrue each semester. I just finished sorting through a pile of papers probably 4" tall from this fall semester alone. I keep anything that has a good chunk of blank space left for notes, scratch paper, etc., but I still end up throwing quite a bit away. Is there anything useful that can be done with this? All I could think of was using it for packaging materials. 😛

So go ahead and post your creative ideas. 🙂

I keep all the stuff I want/need and throw everything else away in one of the many recycling bins in one of the many buildings on campus.

Edit: I'm not tree hugger either but I prefer to hang on to paper and cans and dispose of them in recycling bins rather than throw them out in the trash. It only takes a extra few seconds out of my day.
