For some reason I have a recurring dream where one of the ceilings in my house is getting water damage. When I inevitably investigate its always way worse than it appears. So a small wet spot on the drywall turns out to be several inches of standing water in the attic or is from a giant hole in my roof where rain is pouring in.

No idea why this keeps coming up. I've never had any roof or major water damage issues and my roofs have all tended to be pretty new

When I was in primary school my copy of Super Mario World disappeared, had recurring dreams of Mario and Yoshi sinking in quicksand and dying for a few nights afterward. Don’t know why, wasn’t even my favorite game.

I get dreams like that too sometimes, and probably because I have had some water damage situations myself in the past where I got lucky enough to catch it on time.

The other night I had a dream that me, my family, and other families were ISIS hostages, except it was like Big Brother, we were just in this big house and we could not leave but otherwise could do mostly what we want, we had food, etc. I was trying to plot a way out because I knew they were eventually going to kill us, but then I woke up.

I get vivid dreams sometimes though with crazy levels of detail, and some have reoccurring environments. Like my house in dreams is similar to my real house but has some differences like the basement door is in another location. When I am in that version of the house in a dream and need to go to the basement, I then realize it's a dream because the door is not where it should be. I also had a dream a while back that I was doing electrical in a crawlspace that was not mine, just installing lights and otherwise fixing it up. Some portions had some lumber for no reason that when I removed it, it made the ceiling higher. The other day I had a dream that happened to be in that same location but it was fixed how I had left it in the last dream, so it had lights now. It's almost like the brain has several worlds built in and it just loads one for a dream.

Water/flooding in dreams means your whole family is going to die. Sorry, bro. :(
