It seems this forum is FAR under utilized when compared to the other AT forums. I plead all members of AT DC projects to reply to threads in the other forums and plug our TeAm. I find it interesting how few people using these forums are actually aware of what's going on here. Example

I'm personnally making it a point to recuit in EVERY thread I reply in....and I think it works. :)

should we start another big recruiting effort like there was about a year ago when we were trying to pass SlashDot? I'm in if people are willing...

<edit> lets call it... Project: Catch DPC! Maybe it can inspire some members to join :p</edit>

Just realize guys that there are limits. We only have official permission to post on GH and OT, so don't go about creating TA threads in any of the other fourms please.

:) ViRGE, I don't think he was suggesting creating threads... just popping the question in existing ones. :)

Hey Virge, I'm not posting "Join TA" threads EVER. I help a good number of people in the Tech Support forum when I have time and I just ask them if they are members at the end of my help post. :)

I'm definately NOT asking members to create Join threads...so please don't folks. However, if you're conversing on-topic in someone elses thread, I don't think it's crossing the line to ask them if they are a member of TA.

Someone want to post like an all in one guide on joining and stuff?

I got some free web space if needed.

I'm all for it, but it's easier if we link to a webpage with everything on it...

iNo712 - Excellent work. Check this effort out. That's what I'm talking about. :D

paulson - I'm looking to do that. I just don't have the bloody time! I have webspace, that's not the issue. I build/repair pc's on top of my 40+ hour week job, so time is valuable.

One reason I haven't joined any team is because there is no comradery. You join and don't get any replies to messages or get any credit or "Good job." or anything at all. Part of being a team is that feeling or being a member of something. Anyways, I don't crack more than 4,000 kkeys/sec anyways.

Darius,
I would urge you to check out this forum! There is plenty of camradre and atta boys (except for this week, due to stats problems, overworked stats posters, and vacationing stats grabbers ;))

Just do a search on Milestone Makers
Check out the posts congrats on birthdays, wedding anniversaries, project anniversaries. :D

Hang out here for awhile. Post a question or two. :D

BTW, Team Anandtech values ALL members, no matter what their keyrate. Heck, I started out with a single 486DX/66! :D

It's a great team, and a great bunch of members! :D

Darius,

I bet you'll find Team Anandtech different than most. Check out this thread and of course you can't forget about RaySun2Be's Milestone Makers

Just spend some time in the Distributed Computing forum and you'll get that team feeling, I know I have.

Hello everyone. I am a new poster here; actually, this will be my first post, but I have been cruising these forums for some time. I find the people here to be very informative and helpful, and I would like to help out by joining TA. I just built my new computer - as seen in my profile - which I upgraded to from a Celeron "1" 533. How would I go about joining one of these teams (preferably the borg team :) )? As I understand, RC5 needs to be run for a certain amount of time before allowing you to join a team. I have been running it for the past three days off and on, so I have about 12 hours so far cracking RC5. Thanks in advance.

Welcome nccr and Darius!

Darius - You find all you've been looking for with TA! Recognition, stats and a good bunch of people. Please join us! Your A1000 is an excellent system and 4000 kkeys/sec is great. I run down to a P133! lol

nccr - GREAT! :) All the info you need on joining the borg can be found HERE. The borg also have their own extra stats. Thanks for joining the coolest team on the web! :D

Thanks a lot everyone for the warm welcome and all the info I need to join TA Cube. I will try and get my Celeron 533 cracking RC5 if I can scrounge up some extra parts for it.

BTW, did the outcome of the series finale of Star Trek Voyager (Endgame) adversely affect TA Cube? :)

nccr, a big welcome to you too.

Don't know if STV ending had any effect on TA Cube but I sure will miss it. One of my all time favorite ST series. Janeway's the stud!

:D
