recs for quiet vid card fan replacement

Or a Thermaltake Crystal Orb.(dunno if it`ll fit on a GF4, if it dont then use thermal epoxy)
Or a Thermaltake GF4 Copper Highest Performance Cooler.(This will work, dunno what give it away though...lol)

Do the 7V mod thing or buy an 7V converter cable, and you`ll get quieter cooling from them(they are reasonably quiet anyway)

Note:
If you get the Crystal Orb, then remove the fan guard, it reduces airflow & creates more noise.

If you don't want to take up a PCI slot, look for the Globalwin FAC08; KDcomputers.com might have them yet; try Google. And if no one minds the shameless plug, I have some Tennmax Lasagna coolers that I need to get rid of; PM me if you're interested in buying one. They use ball bearings, and are very quiet. I had 3 of them on a Geforce2 card way back when - active RAM cooling😀 (Forgive the bad quality, this was taken awhile ago with a bad webcam.) That's my first Geforce-level card, a Geforce2 GTS. Got a good deal on it back in the day - $320. Man, it was fast too.😎

THe zalman was a good suggestion. Also zalman makes This cooler which is good for quiet. Do your self a favor and get dont get anything that thas the word orb or thermaltake in it. They are not very quiet and perform crappy on geforce 4's.

Actually, the Thermaltake "GF4 Copper Highest Performance Cooler" is suppost to be very good, plus it comes with memory heatsinks as well. And you can easyly 7V mod them to reduce noise.
And it`ll still be far cheaper than the Zalman, But if you have the money get the Zalman. Or if you want quietness get the Zalman as well.
