Join our team! :)

Hey, if Others can do it, so can TeAm Anandtech!

Edit: to make it simple. ;)

There is NO way I'm letting this thread get to the bottom of the page!

You get a :cookie: for crunching with TeAm AnandTech

You get a  for choosing Folding@Home

The DC forum choir agrees with your soap box preaching!

I think it was Ars Technica that does a monthly 'State Of DC' (I don't know what they called it) front page post that gives some interesting news about different happenings with the projects and also picks a monthly project. We should work something out like that, get the word out to bolster our numbers!

I really think if we can get the word out that BOINC and Folding@Home BOTH offer great opportunities for utilizing some of the awsome graphics hardware I read about in these forums, there would be at least a few who might want to give it a go!

Well, I was 1 for streaching my wings a bit not to long ago and I talked with "petrusbroder" ( great guy ) and I wanted to try out Boinc. Could not believe how easy it was to install the client and find which projects to run for team Anandtech. I ran a client for a bit to help get our team over the 1 million hump ( not that my contribution made the differance ) but the point is, it is a nice program and fairly easy to set up.

I am now a proud TAS member and will be joining in some of the projects when my goal is set for f@H. Then I will turn a couple of rigs to TAS projects. This being said, For all that would like to join our team, don't be shy, join and there is always help from everyone in here. Everything I know about folding and crunching, I learned from my fellow members within team Anandtech, and still learning.;)

So you guys have placed a sticky in the video forum? I would suggest that first and foremost...If all of the gamers ran some folding units when they were not gaming, even if it meant 1/2 a day now or then it would be 1.5-2k a person....less for ATI fans ofcourse.....

ttt

good point about video. CPU/overclocking forum would probably be good, too. we have a LOT of horsepower in our forums that's just going to waste right now!!

This would be a very good Idea. Someone with excellent credibility should venture on over and mention this with a Mod to set a sticky. I would, but I feel that someone that has more Experience than myself would have much better results.

I'm thinking that MarkFW, being a mod in the CPU section might want to take this ball and run a little bit..... *hint hint*
