Damn. We need to pick up the pace. It is hard to get people excited about SETI@Home with all of Berkeley's bandwidth problems, though. :disgust:

So true! We were rolling before all these problems:disgust:

I will take those numbers anyday. Higher ones would be nice, but when our new members have over twice as many WUs as DSLR, that is a good day! 🙂

I wonder if there's a way to track from where the new recruit came. I've changed my sig on Usenet and in other online fora to have a link to join SETI and I urge others to do the same 🙂

That way, we could find out what place is most effective. I'm sure it's here so maybe if we came up with a new tact and a new thread to put in the other fora up here???

We have some people with skills here that scare me sometime. :Q

The only way I know of to find out where a new recruit came from is to ask him/her directly. Ha 🙂

That's a great idea about your sig line in other "fora"? to help us get "fora-neers". Ha LMAO 😀

<< EDIT->hehe I had a 'O right there in the middle of the graphic >>

:Q :Q :Q :Q :Q

hehe.. sorry.. early Friday night self-amusement..
edit> dang that didn't sound right either... I meant I'm just being goofy.. 😀

Greg, the membership numbers were one of the thing's that pulled me to the team. Team Anandtech always had less member's then other teams but outproduced the bigger teams. I think when i joined we had 6 or 7 hundred members, but we were beating teams with a lot more then that. 😉 Top 10 Here We Come. 🙂

gg,

From Soni's Historical database:

#839 30.04.2001 0 WUs ... Smokeball

I joined and started my first WU on April 30th, 2001 running the GUI. It was May 2nd before I turned in that WU and I then switched to the CLI CLient. 🙂

We have increased our membership over 1,100 since then. 🙂

It has been a lot of fun...but there have been some heartaches along the way. 😉

It is amazing how much the TeAm has grown since I joined in the beginning of December. We are definitely headed not only for the top ten, but the teams above the French better start checking their rear view mirrors!

Smokie, April 30 to May 2 nd, 3 Day's to do a wu, that wasn't with the 1900+ was it
