Recreation Hub Dorito

So I have this piece of machinery manufactured by a company who's name starts with an 'S'. I've had this machine for many years now, along with many recreational discs that I have bought over the years. Recently however, many of these recreational discs have become scratched and I have had trouble using them. Rather than buy new recreational discs, I'd like to make a backup of the ones I have and use the backups to avoid the problems I've been having. The only problem is that the company who's name starts with an 'S' doesn't like that, and my Recreation Hub is programmed to reject these backup discs. I have heard of a Recreation Hub Dorito that will enable me to use my backup discs, but they have become illegal in the United States. Obviously I would condone no illegal activities and I'm not asking anyone to enable any, but I thought maybe some people could tell me whether they've had any luck with these "doritos" and whether they are still a viable solution to my problems?

Sorry, I don't know where you can buy a modchip for your Sony Playstation 2 to play illegally obtained games.

Why josh, whatever are you talking about? I've never heard of this Playstation you speak of, or this "modchip". I need a dorito for my Recreation Hub.

The DMCA is a great reason... that doesn't really concern me though. I've got Ultimate Dream 7 and 8 here, and I want to be able to play them without buying them all over again. Like I said, if I want to find them I'll do that myself, I'm just wondering if anyone has any horror stories about installation, or whatever.
