REcovery program for erased JPEG on CD-RW?

my friend accidentally erased an important JPEG file from his CD-RW... Any way to recover it? He tried Scandisk Rescue Pro SW but it didn't work.

I don't believe it is possible. The RW CDs actually erase.smooth out the laser burn so it can be reburned. It is not like magentic media where only the allocation table is erased. On A CD/RW, there is nothing there to recover.

Next time, archive on CDRs - mistakes like that can be recovered. Also, faster and cheaper.
