Computer is a Gateway MA7

Blue screens after the splash screen
STOP: 0x00000024 (00190203, 0x86D82800, 0xC0000102, 0x00000000)

Things I've tried.

Slipstreamed XP Disk. Gets me to the partitions, but no Repair Option.

Ran recovery console on same disk, but it does not see the partition.

Bootable Recover Console on a USB Flash. Doesn't see the partition. Probably because of SATA

NTFS file system is corrupt.

Have you tried running the disk maker's diagnostics program? Or maybe Gateway's BIOS has a diagnostics test.

Yeah it is bad.

I plugged it into my PC. Corrupt and inaccessible. Multiple errors in chkdsk. I have the original software for it, but it goes to a "Gateway" splash screen and says, "Please Wait." And it just sits there. I went to lunch and left it. Still the same. How long should it take? I'm in the process of removing as much as I can off it with various recovery programs. I also downloaded EASEUS Partition Master. Not going to repair it or anything until I make sure I have everything I need off it.

Here is a screen shot of chkdsk right now. This is as much as I could fit on the screen at one time. There's probably a little less than what you see in addition to it.

Chkdsk will do whatever it takes to make the file system "look good". It's not a good "data recovery" tool.

If you care about any of the data, stop Chkdsk and run data recovery software on a working PC with your disk attached as a secondary disk.

With the NTFS file system, this kind of damage doesn't occur with a good disk. Replace the disk.

Yeah was thinking that. Just trying to get into windows to make sure I'm getting everything they want. At the least, the OEM CD would be reinstalled on a new drive.
