Hi, i just purchased an IBM X31, only to receive it without a recovery cd! This worries me incase i do something wrong and end up formatting the HD. Is there anywhere i can get one/download one?

Regards,

James

There is a partition on the Hard Drive that contains all of the recovery information. Pushing the blue IBM access button at boot will allow you do restore if you ever need to. If you want the actual cds and to recover the space taken by the partition, call IBM and ask for the CDs. They will send them to you free of charge.

IBM does, however, still offer recovery CDs, and they're for 30 days after your system purchase date. Just call 1-800-772-2227 +2 +1 and speak with a parts specialist. Have your system information ready. They'll order them up right quick and free of charge.
