Recovering NTFS FAT

I was moving my data from two 80 GB HDDs to a new Barracuda 200GB and with about 90% of my data transferred the FAT decides to dissapear. I got a "file or folder corrupt" error and when I rebooted the drive was gone. The drive passes all diagnostics, just somehow the FAT is gone. Is there a way to recover? I hadn't backed up because I was moving the data to the drive and then going to back up to a matching Barracuda 200GB. Now I am in panic mode as all my stuff is gone. Do I have any hope? I am running Win2k.

Well, not sure if this helps, try to download the free trial version of RecoverMyfiles. It will find files that has been deleted. Or use Acronis Disk Director Suite 9 (free trial), which can recover lost/deleted partition.
