Last night the Stones played Edison Field here in Socal. Wow what a show! The first thing you noticed when walking in the stadium was of course the stage. It was enormous. The Stones were just incredible. I don't know what they give the guys in the band to keep them moving for the whole show but it worked great. Mick was just all over the place; the guy couldn't stand still even for a moment. They played something like 25 songs I think and they all sounded great. My memory is a little off but Sheryl Crow came out and did a little duet number with Mick on one of the songs (she was the opening act). During the encore (Jumpin' Jack Flash and Can't Get No), they put up some scene's from the Angel's World Series win up on the big screens during the first song and filled the stadium full of red confetti. The place went nuts. They of course had a small second stage about where 2nd base is and they played a few songs there. That was great since my seat was on the 3rd base line next to the dugout (main stage being in center field). I took my Canon Elph in there with me (Hot Deal, $20
). Got 2 rolls of film shot so when I get those developed (hopefully they come out decent) I'll scan them and throw them up on my webserver.
All in all it was one of the best shows I've seen. Sure it was expensive, but it is the Rolling Stones afterall.
