Sure it can be done. You will need a file recovery , data recovery, or undelete program.

Remember if you are using the computer that you want so recover the files from, you need to STOP NOW! Any hd activity will write over the deleted files. Downloading a file recovery program will overwrite the delted files. Use a second computer for research.

Yea use some undelete program and you should be able to recover quite a bit of files.
Bewarned, all your porn you deleted may resurface if they weren't written over! So do it yourself!
