I have a custom built machine that has used a RAID 0 array for a year and a half. The Vista install is hanging when it loads the crcdisk driver, at least according to the safe mode boot sequence. I don't have a problem reformatting, but I need to retrieve some files from the array. I don't have any experience with linux, but I managed to load a slax distro, as referred to by a friend, onto a usb key and it booted fine. I tested the distro on my laptop, and it can view and read files off a single hard drive. However, the distro isn't recognizing the raid0 array on my custom build.
So, long story reiterated and made shorter: I'm looking for a USB linux distro that has inherent RAID0 support, so I can do some data recovery.
EDIT: My raid is based off the onboard 750i chipset, which apparently used "Nvidia Mediashield Raid".
