Hi, I have 2 different problems. The first one is, I had my external hard drive attached to my computer, which i was just about to install a fresh copy of windows on. When you get to the windows setup screen where it asks you where you want to install the new OS, I had accidentally selected my external harddrive. I selected that and clicked the delete partition so I could create a new partition over it. It's right after I went through and seleected it, deleted it and was about to create a new partition when I realized I had selected the wrong one. I know for a fact I didn't format any of the files or anything and I only deleted the partition (with no formatting). I was wondering whether there's anyway to repair this or at the very least recover my files. It's a maxtor external harddrive if that helps and no recovery cds were included with it.

Also, is there anyway for me to make it so this harddrive is recognized again when I plug it into another pc (hopefully after recoviering those files).

My other problem is with a hard drive (regular internal one) that seems to have some errors on it and windows won't boot up but I think my files are fine. How do I go about recovering those files? Any programs (preferely free) out that that can help. I would appreciate any and all help on these 2 matters as I have tons of important documents on those 2 harddrives! Thanks,

Calvin
