Recovering deleted files

I deleted two very large files after I missed named them, Doh! I have Norton System works 2003, problem is I'm running Win2k Adv Ser., and you can't install it on this O/S. You can run the CD to access some of the utilities, but I can't find it or maybe I won't find the Unerase feature on the CD this way? Anyone know if I can access it from the CD or does it have to be installed to access this feature. I tried the Ontrack Date Recovery Demo version from the net, with no luck from it. Any other suggestions, I'll try anything.

If you can find it, PowerQuest used to have a utility called Lost & Found. It installed onto Floppy Disks, It would work on Fat & NTFS Partitions. They discontinued it about 2 1/2 years ago. I had used it on a few occasions, and it worked great. I suspect it may have gotten bought out by one of those big money Data Recovery Houses. I used to have it, but don't know where it went to.
Problem is the more you use that drive, the harder it's gonna be to recover it.
