Recover unsaved photoshop file?

Hi,
My girlfriend was working on some sort of project for the last 5 hours on my laptop using photoshop....for some reason she didn't save a copy to disk yet (she said she was so "into it" she didn't even think about saving it)...anyways, she accidentally closed the wrong file in photoshop (version 7), and now all her work is gone....do you know if there is some sort of temporary place where photoshop keeps it's files (or anyway to undo the deletion)? Please help guys, she's really upset!

i know! I would never dream of not saving, but telling her that now would make her even more upset.

btw, it's on a PC if that helps.

I also have norton recycle bin with their unerase wizard but I haven't seen anything in it...please help

nope.... it would have just been in the scratch space.... what disk is the scratch space in?

you're SOL.

 

if the PS scratch disk is in it's own partition, it has a less likely chance of being fragmented

not sure how a recovery program would do, and what it'd do with the stuff since it was written as a temp file
