Recover password from .7z file

Leros

Lifer
I was trying to keep some files private so I put them in a .7z file with a password. I cannot get into the file now, so I must have forgotten the password.

I found a demo for a password recovery program but it only does up to 5 characters, and I think my password was 8 characters. My password was words and not random characters, so it shouldn't be too difficult to crack.

Are there any free 7z password recovery programs out there?

Looks like rarcrack is commonly used; but mostly with Linux. Knoppix might include it; I also saw a few (unverified) Google results for "rarcrack Windows binary". Also follow these instructions to decrease the number of characters you search if you're sure you didn't use digits and/or upper-case characters
