Recover chat logs?

I had a conversation a couple of hours ago and desperately need to recover that exchange! Unfortunately, I didn't select the option to automatically save conversations on my WLM. Is there any way to recover this conversation? I haven't turned off the computer (if this makes a difference). I desperately need to recover this 🙁

I searched the forum and found that I could " dig up the cache and find it." How would I do this?

Exactly what format was it all in; Software used, etc...?

WLM= Windows Live Messenger, right? Does that work in a browser, or in it's own application?

If it's it's own application, poke around in C:\Users\YOUR_NAME_HERE\AppData\*.* and see if there's anything in there.

And having the computer running this whole time would be worse for recovery, if whatever WLM is logs to disk regardless of your settings and then deletes them. But the chances of that being true are slim to none. If you didn't have logging enabled it likely never wrote them to disk.
