I want to record some music using my computer and a music keyboard. I have the keyboard plugged into my line-in. All I want to do is record a piano part, then a guitar part, bass part, etc, all later on top of it. Someone told me I need a full-duplex sound card to be able to record an additional part and listen to the other parts simulataneously. Can someone else confirm this before I spend $100 on a new sound card?
What program would I use for this? I don't want to spend a year and buy a book or whatever to learn how to use a program, I could care less about all the special effects and stuff, I just want to do what I said above. If you suggest a program, would you be so kind as to tell me how to do this in that particular program (step by step?).
Thanks guys!
