I tried snag t to record video on my computer. it captures video fine but audio is almost impossible to hear no matter what I try.

and for some reason it picks up stuff coming in from microphone?

how do I fix this?

low volume: you need to increase the volume for "what u hear" or "wave/mp3" or similar using SNDVOL32.EXE (or double click the audio speaker icon in taskbar)

you can also mute your microphone using SNDVOL32.EXE
 
Yeah what nova2 said, ensure you are recording "wave". I had the same problem with same app then discovered why.

so double click the speaker icon, options, properties, recording, then hit ok and ensure wave is checked off.
